The dynamically operating enterprises and good investment conditions created over the last dozen or so years are reflected in regional statistics. Only in 2019, companies operating in the Kutno poviat generated the value of industrial production sold at the level of almost PLN 3,7 billion. Calculated per capita, the Kutno poviat is ahead of much larger centers, such as Łódź or Piotrków Trybunalski (in our voivodeship), but also Toruń, Rzeszów and Opole.

This state of affairs is due both to domestic companies operating in Kutno for decades, but also to companies that appeared in Kutno, among others thanks to the Łódź Special Economic Zone. Existing since 2001, the Kutno Subzone and entities operating in it have already employed more than 3,000 people, incurring investment outlays exceeding PLN 3 billion. Interestingly, according to the Central Statistical Office (GUS) data, the highest employment rate per 1,000 inhabitants in the Lodzkie Voivodship is in Kutno - 387 people (2019).

Kutno is invariably known for its pharmacy, production of agricultural machinery and the food industry. Thanks to the newly established production plants, Kutno can also be talked about in the context of plastics processing, logistics, packaging production, bicycle production, or, just like recently, the production of passenger cars. It is at FSO Syrena S.A. In Kutno, cars referring to the iconic brands of the Polish automotive industry are built.
