ZKS Kutnowianka Stadium

The Kutnowianka stadium located by the Ochnia river is the oldest sports facility of this type that cur-rently exists in Kutno. It is almost 100 years old. It was established in 1930 on the initiative of the landowner Adam Zawadzki, who was then the president of the local Sokół Gymnastic Society. For a symbolic zloty, he sold the site for its construction to the club. Thanks to this, it was possible to build a stadium with a pitch, which was officially opened in July 1930. The stadium was then located at Sokola Street and among the fans it was called Sokolnia.

In the years 1939-1945, the stadium was completely destroyed by the German invaders. The renovated building was officially commissioned on July 22, 1955. A four-lane track was built around the pitch, and next to it there were jumping pads and throwing areas. In the following years, tennis courts with a brick surface were built. It was the first place in Kutno where you could play tennis after the war. In winter, an ice rink was organized at the stadium for the inhabitants of the city.

The stadium has served many clubs in Kutno over the years. Not only the Kutnowianka football team, but also the Czarni Kutno football team played their matches here.
